A beautiful Lord's day

  What a beautiful day we had today.  This morning church was great with Katie's Matt and his mom singing You Raise Me Up and it was incredible.  What voices they have.  Then a nice lunch of beer-can chicken (you actually sit the chicken on top a a can 1/2 filled with beer, stuff an onion in the neck and grill it ; wonderful!)  potato salad, fried okra and sweet iced tea.  We had plenty of leftovers so I won't have to cook tomorrow night! Yea!  Then we played with the puppies, watched a little TV and before we knew it it was time for praise-team practice.  Then evening worship at 6:30, a little bite to eat at Sonic on the way home and here I sit.  That was my day in a nutshell!  Katie, Wes and Michelle are at Applebee's for an after church snack with Matt.  Katie told me today she really is going to marry him.  Mike has been a real jerk lately.  He hates coming over here because of the 20 minute drive. 20 minutes?  My husband drove 12 hours up to see me when we were dating! (I lived in S. Carolina and he in southern Florida)  Give me a break, get rid of him Katie!  Oh, and he couldn't come over today because he wanted to watch a movie.  Katie said bring it over here and we'll watch it togther.  He said "no, we have surround sound"  Surround sound?  Who cares about surround sound!!  He is just a selfish whiner.  I'm glad he didn't come over the sissy!  That's ok, he is on his way out anyway.  Michelle is starting to drive Robert nuts.  She is a really big airhead and all she cares about is how she looks.  She also has some major problems like bulemia!   She supposedly diets all the time, but she will go buy a box of snack cakes and eat 5 then go throw up!!!!!!!!  She also has a bunch of diet pills and laxatives in her room.  I told Katie she better talk to her or else Robert and I will.  Our grocery bill has skyrocketed and she better not be gorging herself on our food and then puking it up! She doesn't pay to live with us, so if I find out that she is puking up my groceries I am going toblow my top.  Anyway, I'll keep you all posted on what is going on with her.  Well, I want to go read my new book.  I bought The Rising,  the prequel to the Left Behind  series.  I finished all of the left behind books and was excited to see this book is already available.  I miss my friends in the books!  I spent months waiting for each new book to be released and I started reading them in 1999!  So I have lived for 6 years with these characters in my life.  Anyway, it's good to have them back, even if its only temporary.  The main character Rayford Steele was mentioned in the first sentence and I said, "Oh my gosh, its Rayford!  I've missed him so much!" and Robert looked at me and said, "honey, he is not real."  I wanted to punch his lights out!  They are all real to me!!!!!!!!  Anyway, Rayford is waiting for me, so I better get going!  ::~bye~::
