Comfort food

Do you have a favorite 'comfort food'......extra points if you share a recipe!"  This is my response to Kelly's question and here is a link to her journal.

My favorite comfort food would have to be macaroni and cheese.  Even better would be crock pot mac and cheese!  It's really easy and I don't even use a real recipe.

Boil a box of elbow macaroni. Spray pam all around in crock pot.  Drain elbows and pour into crock pot.  Add about 8 cups of shredded cheese (all varieties, cheddar, monteray jack, colby, mozzerella) AND 1/2 of large brick of velveeta, sliced.  Mix together as much as you can.  Beat 2 eggs into 2 cups of milk and pour over top.  I add salt and pepper and a little dry mustard to the milk mixture for flavor. Cook on high for about 1/2 hour mixing every 15 min or so until cheese melts.  Turn to low and cook for a couple of hours.  Stir occasionally. Can't beat it on a chilly or rainy day!

Thanks for the recipe.  I love mac and cheese.  I have never cooked it in my crockpot, great idea.

2 cans of cream of chicken.
1 cup sour cream
little bit of sherry cooking wine
and salt and pepper

pour this over uncooked chicken(I use boneless chicken breasts)
heat oven to 400 and cook for an hour and a half to two hours

than make some rice, mixed with a little butter and garlic
