Nothing special?

I was thinking about what to put in my subject line today.  Nothing special.  That's what I came up with, until I began thinking about that. It is such a beautiful day today; that's special.  I don't have a headache or feel sick; that's special.  Robert is having a good day at work today (or a change); that's special! We have money in our bank account; that's really special!   SO, I added the question mark, mostly for my own benefit.  I don't ever want to take "normal" for granted.  I don't ever want to overlook the mundane.  There may come a day that I pray for normal and mundane.  God has blessed me with so much.  Saying "nothing special" is like giving Him the cold shoulder, like sticking my tongue out at Him. Have I become that insensitive?  Have I become that person who doesn't see the forest for the trees?  I hope not.

So, instead of saying that nothing special is going on today, let me just say that today is a beautiful, "wonderfully normal" day. My life is great.  And I mean it. . .

It's so wonderful to read about someone that KNOWS that nothing special can be a blessing in it's own disguise!! And to love your life so much...How great is that?!!?..((HUGS))

What a terrific entry!  Too bad more people don't take this attitude.  A great day is a "normal" day, when things are "just fine"....who could ask for more?  Very upbeat, it cheered me up to read this.  Bruce

Normal IS special! It's refreshing to know someone with the ability to see the beauty in their day through the simple "normal" things. I hope you never lose that gift. :)
