Joy Comes in the Morning!

                                    It's April!

My "day of tears" is over and all for nought.  I should have trusted my daughter more, I should have trusted my God more.  Shame on me.  Katie sat down yesterday evening with pen in hand to write her 3 lists like I suggested.  Even she was surprised at the outcome.  Not disappointed, but surprised  As promised I have asked Katie for permission to include her lists for you all to read this morning.  And here they are: 

Master list:   She titled "What I really want"

-Someone I can talk to easily- Makes me feel comfortable - Understands me - helps me - loves me unconditionally - treats me like a "girlfriend" - supports me - wants my dreams to come true - respects my beliefs - laughs with me - thinks I'm beautiful - be content doing nothing but sitting around with me - loves to get dressed up and go out one night, but the next, stay home in PJ's watching movies :) - loves to "pig-out" but still takes care of his body - good dresser - clean hands - cute feet - loving eyes - soft touch - not afraid to be a "dork" - loves music - loves to sing - not afraid of  hard work - spontainious - competative - goal oriented - family oriented - thinks about the future - confident - sometimes shy - easy to shock - kind hearted - open minded - easy to excite - fun - marriage material - would make a good dad - smart - honest - faithful - trusts me - loves my family - doesn't judge me by my past (mom here, what past?) - passionate - protective - crazy about me - ON FIRE FOR GOD - ticklish :)  ( These are all her words, nothing added my mom!)

Then she compared both Mike and Matt to her Master list and this is what she came up with:

Mike's List:

Pros - loving - funny - laughs a lot - outgoing - goal oriented - loves me - cute - good heart - protective - confident - would be a good dad

Con's - spoiled - selfish - jealous - controlling - un-accepting - rude - no tact - stubborn - "my way or the highway" - superiour - anal - immature - know-it-all - judgemental - negative - unwilling - weak in his faith - self important - self-absorbed - ugly feet :) - brutally honest - belligerant - un-excitable - high strung - overly sensitive - picky - hates the movies - over reacts - bad temper

Matt's list:

Pros's  All the things in my "What I really want" list!

Con's  - Talks himself down sometimes - sometimes acts nervous (mom here, oh, I really hate those 2 things! lol )

I guess I'ts needless to say who she chose.  She called Mike to tell him that she doesn't want to get back together with him and she said that after she explained herself, he was okay with it. Then she called Matt. . . . . . . *smile*. . . . . . . . and they are going on their first official date tonight.  All's well that ends well.  And I am so glad that I had her write down those lists, it really helped her to see some things, when they were written down in an organized way, that I think she was avoiding.  So, here is a picture of the cute couple and I am going to go and collapse for a few days after this.  Thanks to all of you for your sweet, supportive comments.
